Deborah Jude -York, Ph.D.
Deborah is the President of The York Consulting Team, Inc., specializing in 360 degree feedback processes, technology enhanced teamwork, executive coaching, team development, and designing large system culture change interventions. Deborah's strong theoretical and practitioner background enable her to customize existing models and tools to meet unique client needs, as well as develop new state of the art interventions to facilitate and accelerate organizational change. Her emphasis is on helping clients achieve their business objectives by engaging in participatory action based, results-oriented change initiatives. As President she sets the strategic direction of The York Consulting Team, designs change interventions, hires and places consultants to match client needs and oversees project management.
Deborah has over 20 years experience in Human and Organization Development in health care, manufacturing, high tech and telecommunications. Recent clients include IBM, SBC, Applied Materials, University of California, and Chevron. Deborah has done extensive work in designing and facilitating team development interventions with work teams, cross-functional teams, and executive teams. She and her team provide coaching, facilitation, and training in support of organization development initiatives. These range from single offsite events to long term, broad based change programs, which inter-relate around a future vision of organizational success.
Deborah is the co-author of Multi-Point Feedback: A 360° Catalyst for Change, Crisp Publications (1997) and Virtual Teamwork: A Guide to Breaking the Boundaries of Time and Place, Crisp Publications (1999). Deborah received her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from The Fielding Institute in 1991. She is a frequent guest speaker at national conferences and local corporations, addressing topics such as Organizational Development in large organizations, cross-functional teamwork, 360 degree feedback, technology enhanced teamwork, and self-directed learning/performance in the workplace.
