Deborah Jude-York, Ph.D.
President

Deborah Jude-York specializes in executive coaching, 360 Degree Feedback, team development, conflict resolution, and designing large system organization change interventions. Deborah's strong theoretical and practitioner background enable her to customize existing models and tools to meet unique client needs, as well as develop new state of the art interventions to facilitate and accelerate organizational change. Her emphasis is on helping clients achieve their business objectives by engaging in participatory, action-based, results-oriented change initiatives. As President, she sets the strategic direction of The York Consulting Team, designs change interventions, hires and places consultants to match client needs, and oversees project management.
 

Deborah has over 25 years of experience in Human and Organization Development in the healthcare, manufacturing, high-tech, higher education, and telecommunications fields. Recent clients include University of California, Alameda County, Applied Materials, and Cingular Wireless. Functional client areas include Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Product Business Units, Board of Directors, Budget, Capital Resources, Facilities, and Planning and Development.

 
Deborah is the co-author of Multi-Point Feedback:  A 360° Catalyst for Change and Virtual Teamwork: A Guide to Breaking the Boundaries of Time and Place.  She is a frequent guest speaker at national conferences and local corporations, addressing topics such as Organizational Development in large organizations, cross-functional teamwork, 360 Degree Feedback, technology-enhanced teamwork, and self-directed learning/performance in the workplace.

Robert E. York, Jr., M.A.
Consultant and Trainer


Bob York has over 20 years of experience in meeting design and facilitation, management coaching and development, 360 Degree Feedback coaching, and team training programs. He is an expert in working with process facilitation, helping teams to solve problems, build capabilities and resolve conflicts.  His strong interpersonal and facilitation skills help to enable disparate parties to find value in their differences while building common ground.


Bob has worked with clients in the manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, and high-tech fields. Clients have included Granite Construction, Alameda Waste Management Authority, General Motors, Twin Cities Church, and the City of Fremont/Newark.  He has taught multiple courses in the field of human and organization development, including Management, Leadership, Psychology, Organizational Learning, and Conflict Management at the University of Phoenix, where he was honored as “Outstanding Faculty, College of Graduate Studies”.

Karin Bunnell, Ph.D.
Consultant and Management Development

Karin Bunnell supports client organizations with change management consultation, cross-functional teambuilding, process re-engineering, and management development. She is an expert in working with diverse groups participating in team training modules.  She partners with clients to customize interventions to best meet their needs to improve productivity and teamwork, customer satisfaction, and resolve inter-departmental conflict.


Karin has over 15 years of external organizational development consulting, management development and team training program experience in public, private and non-profit sector organizations. Recent clients include University of California, Sabah International, and Alameda County, as well as ten years of prior experience in sales and technical managerial positions for small start-up and large high-tech organizations.  She is currently President of the Board of Valley Dance Theatre in Livermore.

Stuart P. Pivnick, Ph.D.
Senior Consultant

Stuart Pivnick has over 25 years of experience providing change management, management development and human resource consultation involving the leadership and management of organizations.  He specializes in managing organizational change and transition, strategic planning, process redesign, team building, managing the implementation of new technologies, new business start-ups, designing staffing models, developing human resource performance management systems, and executive coaching.
 

Stuart has worked with organizations across multiple industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, national engineering and science labs, construction, and higher education.  Recent clients include National Engineering and Science Laboratories, Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California, and University of California.

Susan L. Wise, M.A.
Consultant and Project Coordinator 


Susan Wise manages the data collection for surveys, interviews, and focus groups for The York Consulting Team, providing thorough analysis and detailed summary reports.  She plays a key role in the development of training programs and participant materials, teambuilding and meeting facilitation, process re-engineering, and benchmarking. Susan has worked with clients across multiple industries, including telecommunications, high-tech and higher education.  Recent clients include University of California, Port of San Francisco, Chevron and Applied Materials.

Gary R. Hawthorne
IT Solutions


Gary Hawthorne, owner of an independent software development company, has been working with The York Consulting Team since 1999 to provide IT solutions associated with Organizational Development client interventions. He was instrumental in the design of a web-based 360 Degree Feedback system, enabling The York Consulting Team to collect feedback for organizational leaders from their bosses, peers, direct reports, and customers from any location in the world.


Gary is an expert in setting up new software tools in support of consulting projects such as customer and employee satisfaction surveys, organizational climate surveys, program evaluations, and performance audits.  Gary brings an exceptional knowledge of client organizations and how they work, enabling him to easily transform their needs and questions into appropriate web-based tools and reports.  He has developed a unique approach to assisting client organizations in obtaining information from multiple sources and compiling the data electronically into appropriate and useable composites.
 
Gary works with many client organizations in developing tracking and document management systems, sales order and purchase order entry systems, and web-based class registration systems.  His clients include architectural and engineering firms, University of California, Alameda County, manufacturing companies, property management and title insurance, attorney law offices, advertising agencies, Applied Materials, and Compaq.

Sutton Bennett
Executive Support and Data Management


Sutton Bennett provides executive administrative support associated with Organizational Development consulting projects.  She has extensive experience in managing e-survey data collection and reporting processes, including climate surveys, 360 Degree Feedback, change management, team effectiveness, and department performance audits.  In addition to her ongoing work with The York Consulting Team, Sutton has worked with the City of Lafayette, ERIN Engineering and Research, Inc., Merritt-Smith Consulting (Environmental Science & Communication), Master Brand Cabinets, and Bennett Construction Company.


Sutton  is responsible for setting up all data collection processes, developing report templates, distributing e-surveys to client groups, responding to client questions, conducting quantitative analyses, editing narrative comments, and preparing client summary reports.  She is an expert in producing complex client reports with multiple graphs and charts, process mapping documents, and organizational structure charts, as well as graphics and text for training binders and materials.
