Michael Davis, CMB
Mike is both a founding Advisory Board member of The York Consulting Team and a partner in McMullen/Davis Associates, who collaborates and partners with York in working with corporations and executives in areas of Strategic & Business Planning, Executive Coaching and Corporate Solutions designed to assist such entities in achieving their business plan objectives.
With more than 30 years of experience in senior and "hands on" positions, Mike has blended successful careers in both Mortgage Banking and consulting in areas of general business management and finance.
He joined Mason McDuffie Co. (an integrated real estate finance and sales organization) in 1965 in the Income Property Finance department and advanced in his career to management of several departments including Construction & Development, Government Finance, Special Assets and Commercial Property finance divisions.
In 1972 he was admitted to the Partnership, making him among the youngest to achieve such recognition, staying until 1982 when the company was dissolved.
He then became the founding partner of Mason McDuffie Financial Corporation, which acquired the assets of the Commercial Finance Department. During Mike’s years as President and Chairman of the Board, the servicing portfolio grew from 275 million to over 1.2 billion dollars, placing the company among the leading privately owned Commercial Mortgage Bankers in the United States.
From 1990 to the present, Mike has concentrated his business activities in selected areas of consulting to both corporations and individuals, joining with Craig McMullen as a partner in the above described partnership.
Professional accomplishments have included President of the Northern California Mortgage Bankers Association, Director of the California Mortgage Bankers Association, Director of the Bank of Contra Costa, Lecturer at the School of Mortgage Banking and both panelist and speaker on numerous occasions.
Mike is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and currently serves on the UC Alumni Development Committee and the Board of the Lamorinda Golden Bears. He has also received the Certified Mortgage Banker’s designation, which is the industry’s highest award of recognition.
